Japanese Tea Garden, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.

The bridge has an interesting history. It was designed and built by a Japanese master bridge builder. He had to sell half of his property and a couple of farms in order to pay for it. It was evidentially an expensive gift. What inspired a Japanese man to perform this task for a less then friendly USA is a puzzle.

Whatever the reason, it is a beautiful work and provided an impressive frame for this pensive shot.
